Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 15, 2026

Draft template — not yet reviewed by a lawyer. Since customers are U.S.-based, this should be reviewed by counsel familiar with the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and applicable U.S. state privacy laws before this product accepts real users.

This Privacy Policy explains how WeCreate Ltd. (company number 305775033), a company registered in Tel Aviv, Israel (“ScreenMyFeed,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use screenmyfeed.com and related services (the “Service”). The Service is offered to users located in the United States.

1. What ScreenMyFeed is — and isn't

ScreenMyFeed is a self-screening tool that lets you see what a social media background check might surface about you, before an employer runs one. ScreenMyFeed is not a Consumer Reporting Agency as defined under the U.S. Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and reports generated by the Service are not “consumer reports” under the FCRA. Reports must not be used, and are not permitted to be used, to make decisions about employment, credit, housing, insurance, or any other purpose covered by the FCRA or similar laws in other jurisdictions.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account information: your email address and authentication method (Google sign-in or email/password), managed via Firebase Authentication.
  • Scan inputs: the full name, email address, and social media profile URLs (X, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn) you submit to run a scan.
  • Payment information: if you purchase a paid report, payment is processed by our payment processor, Polar.sh. We do not receive or store your full payment card details — Polar handles that directly.
  • Communications: any messages you send to our support email.

Information we collect on your behalf:

  • Public post content, captions, dates, and links from the social media profile URLs you submit, retrieved via our data-collection partner, Apify, and limited to publicly visible content within the scan's lookback window.
  • Public web search results associated with the name and email you provide, used to surface publicly indexed pages that may reference you.

Information collected automatically:

  • Standard technical data (IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps) generated by using the Service, consistent with what Firebase and our hosting provider log by default.
  • Authentication session data needed to keep you signed in.

3. How we use your information

  • To run the scan you request and generate your report.
  • To create and maintain your account, and to show you your past reports.
  • To process payment for paid reports, via Polar.sh.
  • To respond to support requests you send us.
  • To maintain the security and integrity of the Service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your scans to train machine learning models or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Third-party service providers

We rely on the following sub-processors to operate the Service. Each processes data on our behalf, under their own respective terms:

  • Google Firebase / Google Cloud — user authentication and database storage (Firestore) for your account and scan data.
  • Apify — executes the automated retrieval of publicly available social media content and web search results that make up your scan.
  • Polar.sh — processes payments for paid reports. Polar is PCI-DSS compliant; we do not store your card details.

We are based in Israel; if you are located in the United States, using the Service means your information is transferred to and processed in Israel, as well as by our service providers in the United States and any other jurisdictions where they operate infrastructure. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer, which is necessary to provide the Service to you.

5. Data retention

We retain your account information and scan reports for as long as your account is active, or until you request deletion. You may request deletion of your account and all associated scan data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will delete your data within a reasonable time after verifying your request, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, payment records for tax and accounting purposes).

6. Your rights (U.S. users)

Our customers are based in the United States, and we aim to honor rights commonly available under U.S. state privacy laws (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar laws in other states), including the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses of it. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

7. Data security

We rely on the security infrastructure of Firebase/Google Cloud and Polar.sh, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Other people's information

When you run a scan, the public web search portion of your report may surface results about other people who share your name — this is a limitation of identity-based web search, not a deliberate collection of third parties' data. We do not knowingly collect or store detailed profiles of anyone other than the person running the scan on themselves.

You may only submit social media profile links that belong to you, or that you are otherwise authorized to scan. Submitting another person's accounts without their consent may violate this Policy and our Terms of Service.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
