ScreenMyFeed
2 out of 3 background checks now include a social media scan

Know what the employer's report says before they open it.

Sterling, Fama, and Ferretly sell your background check to the employer. ScreenMyFeed runs the same scan — scored against the same rubric — and sells it to you, first.

The problem

You never see the report. You just find out you didn't get the job.

Employers have paid for this scan for years. The candidate — the person whose entire online history is being scored — sees nothing until it's too late.

I got the social media report from Sterling and I forgot to make my Twitter private. All 10 tweets that got flagged were posts that I liked, which is insane, nothing I actually posted.

Blind · r/HR Issues

Everything was clear except Social Media Search Character, under which it said 'Consider'. What does this mean and should I be concerned? I don't even know what they saw.

Blind · r/HR Issues

Had a job offer rescinded because of “questionable Twitter content.” I'd consider myself pretty liberal on most issues — I had no idea liking a post could do this.

How it works

The same rubric. Pointed at you first.

Fama publishes its 9 misconduct categories. Sterling documents a 7-year lookback. We mirror the scan — and hand you the results before an employer ever runs it.

We run the same scan employers pay for

  • A fix-it action on every flagged item — not just a red flag

Who's watching

Nobody else sells the scan to the person being scanned.

Employer-side vendors sell to institutions. Consumer tools skip social media entirely. That gap is the whole product.

FAQ

Good questions.

Is this the report my employer will actually see?+

It mirrors the same categories and lookback window used by major consumer reporting agencies, but ScreenMyFeed is not itself a Consumer Reporting Agency and your report isn't submitted to any employer. It's a self-screening mirror, built so you know what a real scan would likely flag before one happens.

Do you post, message, or follow anyone on my accounts?+

No. We request read-only access wherever the platform allows it, and only read what's publicly visible or what you explicitly authorize.

What happens to my data after the scan?+

Your report is stored encrypted and tied to your account only. You can delete your scan and all associated data at any time from settings.

Can I use this report to challenge a real background check?+

It's a helpful reference, but disputes on an actual employer report should go through the issuing agency (e.g. Sterling, Fama) under your FCRA rights, not through ScreenMyFeed.
